Dean Harris appeared in Coronation Street in September 1980 as Alan Skidmore, Mike Baldwin’s London-based sales manager. Dean’s career as an actor began in 1966 with work in repertory theatre and stage appearances in Canada and Zimbabwe. As well as appearing at the National Theatre, he also had West End roles in Godspell and Entertaining Mr Sloane. On television, he has had a long career since the early 1970s with parts in Z Cars, Dixon of Dock Green, The Sweeney, EastEnders, Casualty, Bergerac and regular roles in Howard’s Way, Cold Warrior and The Fourth Arm.
