The Imperial Penal Code, also known as the Imperial Legal Code and simply Imperial Code, was a body of laws issued by the Galactic Empire. It represented the branch of Imperial legal statutes concerned with criminal law. It consisted of seventeen volumes. Documented extracts include: * Section 14, Subsection 9, Part C-1, and Section 2127, which laid out the requirements for legal assassinations. One particular model of the groomer (an advanced model of the older XP-21) contained all seventeen volumes of the code.
