MeteorCom was a division of the Combined Services of the United Earth military, responsible for weather forecasts and warnings. MeteorCom, whose name was presumably an abbreviation of "Meteorology Command," predicted stormy weather in vicinity of the Agro III station in October of 2045. (TOS novel: Strangers from the Sky)
