Boulaj is a member of Aly's spy pack whom she recruited and trained in the winter of late 462 and early 463 HE. Boulaj went to Rajmuat earlier than the Balitangs to recruit and train new spies of her own who would then spy and work for the raka conspiracy. Boulaj participated in the final battle of the raka rebellion—the storming of the Grey Palace. She survived the battle and became one of the Queen Dovasary's trusted inner servants. She reportedly complimented Dovasary on her excessive amount of rings, which Aly contributed to her being Kyprin. She only appears in Trickster's Queen.
