In Marauding with Monsters, Gilderoy Lockhart wrote about his adventures in the New Forest in search of the Wild Ponies, though he ended up finding (and defeating) a Gytrash colony instead. The veracity of these events is doubtful, given Lockhart's known thefts of other people's achievements.
