The European Union High Level Working Party on the Millennium Date Change was established in July 1999, consisting of national Y2K coordinators of all EU countries, as well as those of the European Free Trade Association (Norway, Iceland, and Switzerland). Six meetings were held between July 13, 1999 and January 14, 2000 chaired by the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enterprise.
