Rosh Penin was a young male student at Luke Skywalker's Jedi Academy on Yavin IV. During his training there, he befriended a Rodian student named Jaden Korr. Eventually, Rosh was sent to the planet of Tophi in order to protect a New Republic senator while he negotiated with a Hutt crimelord in order to release New Republic prisoners. The Hutt however did not comply, and sent his cronies to kill the senator and his escorts. Rosh was killed by a concussion blast from a Rodian's Stouker Concussion Rifle. The senator was also killed by the Hutt's cronies.
