The budgies were four identical birds, unremarkable except for their ability to speak English. Despite this amazing skill, the sentences they uttered were snippets of sentences (often relating to housework) that made no sense out of context. Despite this, the birds were extremely valuable and attracted the attention of Rocky, a Transylvanian crime boss. Along with Meek and Moose, Rocky stole the budgies and went on the run from the police, demanding a million pounds for their release. The budgies' story made front page news and the worldwide attempt to save them almost saw the criminals captured. Scared, they decided to hide out in Castle Frank N. Stein.
