Akunus was a Brute Major who fought in the Human-Covenant War. He was the nephew of Kratolus, the Chieftain of his pack. Because of this, he was granted an unusual amount of privileges for his rank, and many other members of his pack resented him for this. He was especially strong and aggressive like his uncle, but was also extremely intelligent and cunning, and liked to manipulate others. Akunus was highly sadistic as well, though not as much as the rebellious Ajuntus, whom he frequently clashed with.
