The Uvena Conflict was the battle that launched the Great Territorial War, a conflict between the Galactic Republic and the Third Sith Empire. Shortly before the conflict began, the then-new Supreme Chancellor of the Galactic Republic, Stavan Jetzt, called a delegation of members of the Jedi Order to his office. Based on reports he was given, Jetzt relayed that he believed a flow of weapons to the Uvena system indicated the reemergence of the Sith. While the Jedi were skeptical of the claim, they decided to send Jedi Knights Ussej Padric Bac and Damien Nightblade to investigate.
