The 1955-28 was a Grand National (now Sprint Cup) event held at Altamont on July 29, 1955. Junior Johnson won his fifth and final event of the year, leading 150 of the 177 laps in route to a one-lap victory on Jim Paschal when the race was shortened due to a crash.
