The Archives Beast was a bizarre Rahi contained in a locked chamber in the lower levels of the Great Archives. It was believed to have some connection to the reconstitute at random Kanoka power. The Rahi supposedly inside was able to take on any appearance. When Toa Whenua and Toa Nuju came into the Archives Beast's cell in search of the Onu-Metru Great Disk, the Rahi had taken on the appearance of an empty room. Toa Nuju dissuaded the Rahi from trapping them by creating a blizzard in the cell, as the beast disliked the cold.
