Red is ten years old at the beginning of the Red, Green, Blue and Yellow story line. He is first seen in Eevee vs Pikachu, when he shows a group of children the proper way to battle Pokemon when his Pikachu defeats a Nidoran. His long time friend Green returns and best him as the town's strongest. Red is very sentimental, as shown in the battle versus Green in the twentieth annual Pokémon League tournament. He believes that best way to win a battle is to raise Pokemon with the best care and love and always have a strategy. He is the 19th possessor of a rare object known as a burst stone which allows him to fuse with a Pokemon. His Burst are Mewtwo and Mew and can be called upon.
