Herbert Birdsfoot narrates the story, in which a Queen decides to ban all items that begin with the letter T from her kingdom. One day, a salesman named Tom Tattertall Tuttletut comes by to sell a variety of items that begin with the letter T. The Queen sentences him to the dungeon, explaining that things that begin with T are not allowed in the kingdom -- but Tom points out that there are still a lot of things that begin with the letter T, such as the King's trousers. (The Queen says she thought they were pants.) Tom points out that the Queen is "talking, telling me things with your tongue and teeth, and those are terrific T words!" Learning her lesson, the Queen decides to allow T items back into the kingdom.
