Alcohol consumption in Lovia is comparable to European countries and varies regionally. Alcoholic drinks are mainly consumed as a socializer or simply for their taste. The consumption of alcohol is regulated in Article 5 of the Federal Law, the Alcohol Consumption Regulations Act. According to this act, alcoholic beverages of less than 20% ABV can be bought by persons with an age of 16 or older, and alcoholic beverages of more than 20% ABV can be bought by persons with an age of 18 or older.
