How effective someone is at resisting the poison state from sticking. Doctors can buff a person's poison resist, as can Durindfire and Cho-Nor-Hoola. Jedi also have the ability to improve their poison resists. It is unknown whether some creatures may have natural resistances to poison. Once a person is poisoned, their resistance has no effect on the poison damage or duration. The skill mod will remain in effect for additional poison attacks, however.
