Drag Race is a player versus player game mode along an enclosed course featured in Need for Speed: Most Wanted. Participants have to manually change gear as they race against others to the finish line along a straight circuit. A good opportunity to change gear is highlighted in blue and a perfect shift is highlighted in green. Over revving is highlighted in red and pushing an engine to this limit outside of a vehicle's highest gear will result in a blown engine. Colliding with any traffic vehicles will total a racer's vehicle and they will fail the event.
