This rite is usually enacted for crimes against other Garou or Kinfolk. The Ritemaster cuts off a piece of the offenders fur and seals it in a box or shell, burying the receptacle for a set period of time determined by the Ritemaster. While the container is buried, the Garou is stripped of all his or her Rage, 'losing the Wolf', and being unable to shapeshift, frenzy, gain Rage, or spend it.
