Alejandro Eusebio Gomez Bautista (born October 9, 1950), known as Alex Gomez, is the Vice President of the United States, serving since January 20, 2013, and before that was a United States Senator from Cuba, having served since 1991. Gomez is the first non-white Vice President in history and was the first Hispanic to appear on a major-party ticket and the first Cuban to appear on a major party ticket.
