NTNS Hélène Blondeau was a New Tuscany-registry freighter. She was commanded by Captain Prosper L'anglais. In 1921 PD the ship suddenly exploded before a pinnace of the Royal Manticoran Navy could board her for inspection in the Pequod System. New Tuscany claimed that the pinnace had destroyed the freighter with all hands, although they did not offer a reason why the Manticorans might have done so. Hélène Blondeau's destruction was one of the set-up provocations that led to the New Tuscany Incident. (SI2)
