"Missed Chance" is a short story by Michael A. Stackpole. It was originally printed in Star Wars Adventure Journal 7 which was published by West End Games in August 1995 and was later reprinted in the short story anthology Tales from the Empire published by Bantam Spectra in November 1997. It was also made available online at Hyperspace. The story takes place shortly before the novel X-Wing: Rogue Squadron.
