Mr G. Jennings was the registrar who officiated at the wedding of Elsie Tanner and Alan Howard in July 1970. Len Fairclough and Bet Lynch were the witnesses. Mr Jennings conducted the ceremony using the standard text and in accordance with the laws of the time. Credited as "Registrar", the character's name was given in a sign outside of his office.
