The Duras Treason was the name given to the secret alliance the House of Duras had with the Romulan Star Empire which attempted to propel Duras, son of Ja'rod to the leadership role of Chancellor of the High Council of the Klingon Empire in order to secure the Empire as an ally against the Federation. Admiral Sela participated in aiding Duras's forces during the Klingon Civil War against Gowron's loyalist fleets, however, her operation was exposed by Starfleet Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
