The Gorgon Head Traps are replicas of Medusa's Head found all over the Temple of Persephone. They serve as defenses within the temple, and are activated only when an intruder (like Kratos) enters their vicinity. They can petrify anyone within their sight. An advantage of this is that Kratos can lure to the heads to petrify them to stone. Only the Gauntlet of Zeus can shatter them.
