Wayne Cheesman (born Feb. 26,1947) was the first player chosen by the Minnesota North Stars. He was picked 4th overall in the 1967 NHL Amateur Draft but never played an NHL game. He was a member of the Whitby Lascos Junior B team when drafted and lated played for various Ontario Hockey Association senior teams. Cheesman coached the junior Markham Waxers in 1984-85.
