She founded Lifeguard Productions in 2011, is the Co-Founder and Lead Producer of the Women on Screen Short Film Incubator Series, and was Associate Producer on the 2013 slate with the Blue Flame Collective. Ms. Merani recently completed an MA from the Drama Centre London, London UK and previously graduated from Trinity College, Toronto. To date, she has produced and associate produced over 15 short films, including her first film, “Just A Prayer”, which is currently on the international film festival circuit. As a professional actress, she has performed on stage and screen on both sides of the Atlantic, including Shakespeare’s Globe and The Old Vic in London. In Canada, she has appeared on “The Listener”, “Lost Girl”, “Covert Affairs”, and “Nikita”.
