Sylvan is a 1995 American-Spanish live-action film, and the first film adaptation of a D'Ocon Films Productions show. It was produced by Golden Harvest, D'Ocon Films Productions, RKO-Columbia TriStar Ventures Latin America, and RKO Pictures and released on March 15th, 1995. The film grossed $500,000,000, mainly because of the high promotion for Sylvan, which was airing on RKO Cartoon Zone in the US at the time, and had sold millions of tickets at the box office, mainly because of the film's child audience target and the praise for the prosthetic makeup in the film, so the companies decided to produce and release three sequels, released in 1996 and 1997 respectively.
