Fontana once remarked, that Singer "wandered onto the set and asked our set decorator, "By the way, what does that transporter thing do again?", at which point most of the crew gave up caring." [1] According to Robert Justman, Singer was bright and hardworking, but neither he nor Freiberger understood the Star Trek concept, and the resulting episodes suffered. (Inside Star Trek: The Real Story, pp. 393, 407) Singer wrote one episode for the short-lived series Then Came Bronson, which was produced by fellow TOS writer Robert Sabaroff, and Bob Justman. The episode was directed by Jud Taylor.
