Karin Kurosaki is the Substitute Shinigami of Karakura Town. She's the younger sister of former Karakura Town Substitute Shinigami Ichigo Kurosaki, and the elder sister of Karakura Town Quincy Yuzu Kurosaki, as well as the daughter of Shinigami Isshin Kurosaki and the deceased Quincy Masaki Kurosaki. After Ichigo began patrolling the entirety of Japan as a Substitute Shinigami, Karin became the soul Substitute Shinigami of her home town, along with Yuzu to aid her, and her father and Kisuke Urahara to give them occasional support.
