Kyle Katarn was attacked by some of Reelo Baruk's thugs on Nar Shaddaa. He killed the thugs and used the platform himself to get access to a new location. Years later, his apprentice Jaden Korr would have a similar experience on Coruscant, as he was fired upon by a Rodian thug from such a platform.
