Black & White Taxi is a taxi cab company operating out of Gower Street in Los Angeles. The company initially had its cars painted in a black and white pattern that resembled LAPD squad cars closely enough that the Department forced the company to change the pattern. During 2011, three of B&W's drivers were arrested for driving under the influence during a four month span by patrolman Robert Mason. On October 5th of that year, LAPD detectives David Chu and Harry Bosch visited the Gower Street building while investigating the death of attorney George Irving.
