The Red Beacon is an item that can be crafted in your Crafting Menu (default key "Q") or at any Crafting Table in worlds created before R22 on September 16th 2015 after learning the recipe from a Recipe Page found in an Iron Treasure Chest or in a Diamond Treasure Chest or as a rare loot from the Thing. Once placed, the Beacon will send a beam of red light high up into the sky, even through many layers of ground. It does not shine downwards though. To craft 1 Red Beacon you'll need (as of R22 in September 2015): * 4 Stone Rods * 2 (blocks of) Glass * 3 Coal * 3x Red Pigment
