The 1988 Coors 200 was a Busch Series race that occured at South Boston Speedway on July 16, 1988. Larry Pearson won the second straight race on the track, beating Tommy Ellis. Ellis, though, had higher priorites. Following Mike Alexander's 20th-place finish, Ellis took the points lead for the first time all season.
