Bruce Hurt was an FBI agent who, along with Mike Keeley debriefed Agent Diane Yates and Detective Lilly Rush following the arrest of serial shooter Paul Shepard in 2010. Keeley and Hurt asked about a facial injury he had received and asked if either of them had struck Shepard. Both Yates and Lilly denied this, covering up the fact that Yates had struck Shepard during the stand-off.
