The Lap Record for a particular circuit is the fastest time ever recorded in a Formula One Grand Prix around that circuit. For a Lap Record to stand, it must be posted during the race, not in practice or qualifying. Due to limitations placed on F1 cars from the 2005 Formula One season, many Lap Records on current circuits are from the 2004 Formula One season.
