Two shuttlepods, at least one of which was attached to the starship, supplied the USS Franklin before the ship's mission "to push the frontier" in the 2160s. In 2263 of the alternate reality, a recording was playing on repeat in the ship's mess hall of the shuttlepods arriving at a location where the Franklin's crew was waiting. (Star Trek Beyond) At least one of these pods had the name Franklin, and the 22nd century Starfleet insignia, emblazoned on its side. [1]
