The Sunday Moon first saw action in 2527 CE during the Human-Covenant War, and many of it's commanders came from that era of human history. The ship was mostly engaged in escort and supply runs, but also saw active combat many times over the 27 years of war between humanity and the Covenant. Many hundreds of men and women lost their lives on the decks of this ship, and some even say it is a miracle it is still intact after all that it has gone through. Nevertheless, the ship has made a name for itself, and is one of the most recognized ships in the entire Navy. Every Captain who has served on the ship has claimed it to be a great honor and pleasure to command it, and they held to those words until the very end.
