The Shelby GT500 (1967) was the first model built in the Shelby GT500 range. It's based on the 1967 Mustang Fastback and is equipped with a 428cu (7.0L) V8. A total of 2,048 units were produced. Several body parts of the GT500 were made of fibreglass including the side intakes and bonnet. The 1967 GT500 is famous worldwide for its appearance in the 2000 action movie remake of "Gone in 60 Seconds."
