Kazdan Paratus was a male Aleena Jedi Master who served the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic as a general of the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. When the was ended and the Order separated from the Republic, Paratus was eager to pursue new studies int machinery and praised the High Council's decision to reopen the ancient Temples of Vur Tepe and Anil Kesh on Tython. Serving as an instructor there for several years, Paratus was appointed to the governing Council of the old Machine Empire's palace on the moon of the planet of Desevro. This old palace was to be reopened as a academy and a place to construct sentient droids, and Paratus would oversee the study of this lost technique.
