Stilson was a former Ranger Commandant mentioned in The Tournament at Gorlan. After Nicholl was banished, Morgarath lobbied for Stilson to be made Commandant. He was mentioned by Crowley as having "no particular skills, other than the ability to toady to Morgarath". His appointment marked the decline of the Ranger Corps, as part of Morgarath's plan, and it became nothing more than a social club until it was reformed by Halt and Crowley.
