Anaxilaus Calliphon was a male Human who served as one of Emperor Palpatine's early supporters during his years as a senator in the Galactic Republic, and later became an advisor in the Inner Circle of the Galactic Empire. A graduate of the Coruscant State University, Calliphon went to work for the Ministry of Finance, the Republic's leading financial institution. During this time, he became well connected and was an accomplished economist and banker. He met Palpatine in 32 BBY, when the man was a senator for Naboo, and the two became colleagues. When Palpatine became the Supreme Chancellor, Calliphon was appointed as the Minister of Finance of the Republic. His time during the Clone Wars was spent trying to keep the value of the credit from dropping.
