Imperial Detention Block Guards were technically members of the Imperial Army and had the responsibility of making sure that none of the Galactic Empire’s political prisoners escaped from various Imperial prison facilities. These guards, who were equipped with batons, were trained to pacify rioting prisoners, but they were also proficient combatants with their blaster pistols. In addition, they also received rudimentary training in prisoner psychology from Imperial Intelligence.
