The seven suburbicarian dioceses are Roman Catholic dioceses located in the vicinity of Rome, whose (titular) bishops form the highest-ranking order of Cardinals, the Cardinal Bishops. The suburbicarian dioceses have varied slightly over time and nowadays consist of: * the Bishop of Ostia (since 1150 the see of the Dean of the College of Cardinals) * the Bishop of Velletri-Segni * the Bishop of Porto and Santa-Rufina * the Bishop of Frascati (Tusculum) * the Bishop of Palestrina * the Bishop of Albano * the Bishop of Sabina
