Balthasar Gerard appears as a Great Spy in Civilization IV. He is famously known for his assassination of Willem van Oranje, for which he was brutally executed (hand burned off, flesh torn from bones, quartered and disemboweled alive, heart pulled from chest, and finally beheaded).
