A Chinese submariner (named John Doe as a placeholder by interrogators) who was the lone survivor of a raid on the SSN-37-1A was detained at Turtledove Detention Camp before the Great War, and was being interrogated by the staff there. His cyanide pill failed to work correctly and he was subsequently recommended for method B interrogation clearance.
