Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin (1871-1916) was a Russian monk, who would make a serious impact on Earth and Mars alike. Prior to Martian Dreams, Rasputin was visited by the power-hungry martian, Raxachk, in his dreams, compelling him to sabotage the space cannon into firing a day ahead of schedule. Once on Mars, Raxachk lured Rasputin into a dream machine and took over his body, leaving Rasputin in a nightmare of his own assassination. Rasputin was able to relay these events to the Avatar in Argyre, once Raxachk had given him back his body. Ironically, that exactly had been his nightmare.
