Q9-X5 had an addition of two miniature "solar ionization cannons" on top of his chassis, he had masculine programming and had a fiery temper. Yet, the droid possessed a highly logical and calculating mind due to his fusion of programming, and a distaste for less-intelligent droids. He also equipped himself with a vocoder with which he could taunt the enemy. Q9-X5 can also fit in a starfighter socket, and can function as a turret along with usual astrodroid maintenance.
