The Palace is a building in Tropico 3 and Tropico 4. It serves as the headquarters for Tropico's government and the current presidente's home. As such, it's the primary target of the rebels, who will occasionally attack the building in the hopes of demolishing it. If the palace is ever lost in this way, the game is lost. The presidente can interact with the palace to make a speech from the balcony. These speeches cause passing citizens to stop what they're doing and gather around to listen, gaining Respect in the process.
