The Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 Evolution II was a limited edition model of the Mercedes-Benz 190E, which was a high-performance variant of the 190. The '2.5' in its name signifies the engine displacement of 2.5L and '16' stands for the engine's 16-valve configuration. The Evolution II was the most powerful car in the W201 190 lineup. It competed in DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Meisterschaft) in the early 1990s with the help of AMG, in which it enjoyed success including a championship victory in the 1992 season.
