Of course there are coastlines in South America. There is no continent without a coastline. South America is a peninsula (land covered on three sides by water). South America has coastlines all around it accept at the point where it meets North America (Suez Canal). The only landlocked countries (countries without access to the sea) are Bolivia and Paraguay.
